Dr. Buch, board certified by the American Osteopathic Association, has been practicing medicine in the Mahoning Valley for more than 27 years. Originally from the Beaver Falls area, he received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 1993, Dr. Buch graduated from ATSU’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, the first institution of osteopathic education established in the world. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren before going into private practice in East Liverpool for 14 years. Dr. Buch also served in the U.S. Army Reserves at Keller Army Community Hospital from 1996 to 2006. Prior to MARSAL Patient Care and Wellness, he was affiliated with Mercy Health. With a focus of patient compassion combined with medical expertise, Dr. Buch has earned the respect of colleagues and patients alike. Dr. Buch and his wife have three grown children. When his children were younger, he was involved with local youth baseball programs. His hobbies include woodworking and fishing.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Youngstown State University and went on to attend NEOUCOM (now known as NEOMED). After graduating with her MD in 1995, Dr. Crowl began seeing patients in private practice from 1998 to the present. In addition, she served as Medical Director for Sunrise Homes (1999 – 2001) and Medical Director for Columbiana County Jail (2001 -2004). Committed to supporting professional development for the next generation of medical professionals, Dr. Crowl currently serves as resident preceptor at NEOMED and participates in observership for YSU pre-med students. In her free time, she enjoys vacationing and spending time with her husband and daughter who is actively involved in cheerleading, multiple types of dance and piano.

She graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science degree after completing her education at Leetonia High School. Ms. Casacchia worked as a clinical laboratory scientist for 23 years in local hospitals before deciding to pursue and achieve her Physician Assistant degree. A versatile medical practitioner, she is licensed in the State of Ohio. Ms. Casacchia is a wife and the mother of three grown children. When not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also participates in a local community concert band and served on the board of directors for a local preschool and swim team.

Ms. Kraus is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner who has been actively involved in providing medical care in various capacities during her tenure in the medical field. After graduating from East Palestine High School, Ms. Kraus earned her Emergency Medical Technician certification and became a paramedic for the East Palestine Fire Department, a position she maintained until finishing her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Youngstown State University. Ms. Kraus joined the Cardio/Pulmonary Step Down Unit UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh; then held Critical Care RN positions at St. Elizabeth’s in Youngstown and Heritage Valley Health Systems. Ms. Krause earned a Master of Science and her Post Master Certification Family Nurse Practitioner, in 2010 and 2013 respectively. Before joining MARSAL, Ms. Kraus was a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Family Nurse Practitioner for Mercy Health. She and her husband have two children and four grandchildren. In her free time, Ms. Kraus enjoys walking, antiquing and car shows as well as spending time with her family and their two yellow Labrador retrievers.

At MARSAL, Kristin provides guidance and expertise to ensure MARSAL's health and wellness program is at the forefront of the industry. She works closely with Darby on developing programs that achieve results.
Kristin has been appeared on the TODAY show, NBC Nightly News and the Dr. Oz show. She has also contributed to The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TIME, Runners World, Oprah, Martha Stewart Living, Food Network, Costco Connection, Self and Women’s Health. In December, 2017, Kristin’s show “The New Rules of Food” aired nationally on PBS. In May 2012, Kristin received the Ohio Outstanding Dietetic Educator of the year award. Kristin’s career began in Washington, D.C. where she assisted in lobbying efforts for Medical Nutrition Therapy reform on behalf of the American Dietetic Association Policy and Advocacy group. She then went on to become the Regional Coordinator of the Montgomery County, Maryland Hearts N Parks program. Kristin then returned to Ohio to work for the Cleveland Clinic's Department of Cardiovascular Genetics. She eventually became the lead Dietitian in the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute.

A registered dietitian nutritionist and licensed dietitian, Darby specializes in motivating her clients and educating her colleagues about achieving wellness goals. She earned her Master of Science in Nutrition after completing an extensive dietetic internship from Kent State University where she previously received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition as a 2013 cum laude graduate. For the past five years, Darby has developed patient/client specific customized programs for weight management, cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, food sensitivities, diabetes and strategies for sports and exercise. She is an experienced Nutrigenomix “Eat for Your Genes” healthcare professional, the revolutionary test offered by MARSAL. Darby has prepared workshop and training presentations for physicians, clinicians and athletic professionals to help stay current on the latest research and trends relating to nutrition. In compliment to her nutritional training, Darby is certified in basic life support by the American Heart Association. Her most recent positions prior to joining MARSAL were at the VA Outpatient Clinic of Valor Health Care and RD/Health Coach at GemCare Wellness. In her free time, Darby enjoys experiencing new cuisine and seeking local restaurants, listening to live music, vacationing with friends and watching the latest Netflix shows.

Practice manager Michael Ortopan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. With 30-plus years experience successfully managing several physician practices in California, he recently returned to the Mahoning Valley to join MARSAL Patient Care & Wellness. Complementing his operational expertise, Mr. Ortopan is well versed in meeting both physician and patient expectations. He is committed to attaining the highest level of responsiveness and satisfaction. Growing up in Poland, he graduated from Poland High School and attended Youngstown State University as a music major before moving West. Mr. Ortopan returned to the area with his wife and two sons to be closer to family. When not working, he spends time fishing, hiking, biking and rock climbing.
